Has anyone tried using Stock Photo Express?

I ran into this company today and it seemed to solve a lot of issues that contributors run into when uploading photos on the internet in bulk. From the website, Stock Photo Express is software that makes it easy to manage your stock portfolio, associate IPTC/XMP data with your images, and batch upload them to selected microstock photo agencies.

Features of Stock Photo Express

• Write IPTC data (e.g., image title, description, keywords, copyright) into image files

• Account for the status of each image

• Copy and paste IPTC data from one image into another

• Multithread upload of your images to selected stock agencies

• Schedule uploads

• Add any microstock agency which supports FTP uploading

• Status accounting for each image

• Metadata search in your images

As we know at Cutcaster, this takes a lot of time and could be a great product to save you some time. Let us know what your experience is with software like this.

  1. If that's the one I'm thinking of I believe a few people are using it. Some seem to like it.

From my point of view...I don't really need or want another piece of software when I can use firefox's "fire ftp" to upload my images to multiple places at once.

I don't really track the status of each image, since I don't upload the same stuff everywhere anymore, and not all agencies support ftp (tho most are going that way).

I have retained only 4 active sites in stock - I just want to take my work a different direction, and I chose those 4 carefully (one of them is Cutcaster for a variety of reasons).

I think for those that have thousands of images spread across a large number of sites it might be a useful product tho.

  2. I use Stock Photo Express and MS Photo Info more for editing the IPTC date - mostly Title, Descriptions, Keyword. An alternative is ProStockMaster.
